Cheating During Testing Beginner Guide

Complete your first Cheating During Testing exam with a safe lobby setup, answer-sheet routine, Phone cycle, teacher checks, and a useful first purchase.

Before joining your first exam

Open the official Cheating During Testing [BETA] experience by @ebenxzy and spend one minute in the lobby. Inspect the Shop so you know which tools you own, which ones are equipped, and which are locked. If an in-game Player Guide is available, read its current notes about the teacher, Anxiety, reporting, and survival systems. Beta menus and balance can change, so the live interface is more reliable than memorizing a video’s exact button layout.

Use a camera sensitivity that lets you make a small teacher check without spinning around the classroom. Community players often prefer Shift Lock off on keyboard because it can make the camera easier to hold steady, but treat that as a preference rather than a required setting. On touch or controller, look for the prompts that appear beside the sheet and equipped item.

Your first objective is completion, not 100%. A finished assessment teaches you how the result screen works and provides normal progression. A risky perfect-score attempt that ends when the teacher catches you gives less useful practice.

Settle into the seat

Once the round assigns a seat, face forward and identify three things: the teacher’s current position, the timer, and your Anxiety display. Avoid repeatedly sweeping the camera. Community guides report that looking around raises Anxiety, while facing forward and using the pencil help it fall. One quick check is enough to establish where danger is.

Do not judge safety by seat distance alone. Read the teacher’s head and body direction. If they face your desk, keep the answer sheet and Phone hidden. If they face clearly away and are not about to turn into your lane, prepare one short action. A classmate may block sight temporarily, but that cover can disappear as either character moves.

Fill and process the answer sheet

Community demonstrations show a contextual action—often R on keyboard—for opening the answer sheet. Confirm the prompt in your server. The sheet may be labeled Version A or Version B; note the letter because answers shared from the other version may not match.

A common Phone routine is to mark every question with A first. The Phone is then used to photograph the sheet and may return corrections only for wrong choices, leaving numbers that were already A unlisted. This behavior is community-observed and can change during Beta, so verify it on your current paper instead of assuming every skipped number is correct.

Use an interruptible sequence:

  1. Mark a small part of the sheet, then hide it if the teacher turns.
  2. Wait until the teacher is clearly looking elsewhere.
  3. Equip the Phone and follow the current capture prompt.
  4. Put the Phone away when the safe window closes, even if you wanted more time.
  5. Read returned question numbers and choices in a later safe opening.
  6. Apply corrections in small batches and recount before moving on.

Do not try to complete every stage while the teacher is walking. Short cycles create safe stopping points and reduce transcription errors.

Stay calm while the teacher moves

Between Phone cycles, face forward and work with the pencil. Let Anxiety trend downward before making another camera check. If the teacher appears to focus on you, do not flash the gadget to test whether the stare is real. Continue normal behavior until attention shifts.

Other students can report suspicious play. The official description warns that Snitches sell players out for Credits, so a teacher-safe moment is not automatically safe in a crowded row. Keep exposures brief even when playing with friends, and share answers only after confirming matching sheet versions.

If you lose track of the teacher, hide first. Then make one brief camera check. Searching while the Phone remains out combines two risky actions and is one of the easiest ways to end an otherwise good run.

Finish, submit, and read the result

Reserve enough time to review for blanks or corrections placed on the wrong question. Do not sacrifice the whole assessment for one final answer when the teacher is facing you. The official description confirms that completed tests earn Credits and higher grades earn larger rewards, so a safe non-perfect result still moves progression forward.

At Assessment Complete, read the percentage, letter grade, Cheater Rating, level movement, and each Credit line. Community recordings show Grade Reward, On-Time Reward, and streak-related fields, but the exact numbers can be adjusted. Your own screen tells you which part of the run improved.

If you were caught before grading, identify one cause: teacher-facing exposure, unknown teacher position, Anxiety that never recovered, or a report from another player. Change that cause on the next attempt instead of replacing the entire routine.

Choose your first upgrade

Open the Shop again after the result. Buy only when the current card clearly shows the item’s price, currency, effect, and level requirement. Community guides frequently recommend Phone improvements because more capacity or faster processing can shorten the dangerous answer cycle. That is useful only after you can already hide the device on time.

A timing item can help if the clock causes your failures. An information wearable may help a different play style but can add controls or meter pressure. Read best gadgets and choose the item that fixes the failure you actually recorded.

For the next round, set one measurable goal: one fewer Phone exposure, a complete result without a caught screen, or a cleaner numbered correction batch. Small goals turn the classroom from a panic test into a repeatable route.

Watch a full classroom run

This gameplay video is useful for seeing the pace of a shared classroom, the need to watch teacher direction, and how quickly conditions change. Use it to understand rhythm, then follow the prompts and balance visible in your own server.
